On September 28, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cultural Base Project of Changzhou Hengshan Museum was held at the construction site in Hengshanqiao Town, Changzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. Leaders from Changzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, members of the Democratic Progressive Party of Changzhou City, relevant officials from municipal, district and town departments, the construction unit Qingqiya Yuan, the construction company Changjia Construction, the supervision unit Xinhua Management, the design unit Yuanhan Design, as well as representatives from all sectors of society attended the ceremony. They jointly witnessed an important milestone in the development of the cultural and museum affairs of Hengshan Museum.

According to the "Classification and Evaluation Standards for Tourist Attractions" and the "Management Measures for Tourist Attractions Quality Grades", after self-inspection and review by the Social Affairs Bureau of Changzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, and preliminary recommendation by the experts, the Changzhou Hengshan Museum was evaluated by the experts organized by the Changzhou Culture, Radio and Television Bureau and was approved as a national 3A-level tourist attraction.

On October 25, 2022, the "New Era Ode" 2022 Jiangsu Fine Arts and Photography Theme Exhibition · Changzhou Economic Development Zone Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition was officially opened at the Changzhou Hengshan Museum.

"Life & Entertainment & Vision - Special Exhibition of Qing-Ming Dynasty and Republican Era Porcelain" was officially unveiled to the public on January 20, 2017 in the first floor exhibition hall of Changzhou Museum. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of Changzhou City, the Cultural, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Changzhou City, the Literary and Art Federation of Changzhou City, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Changzhou City. It was hosted by Changzhou Museum, Changzhou Hengshan Museum, and Changzhou Museum Association. The exhibition will last until March 19.

On November 28, 2012, China's largest meteorite museum was launched at the Hengshan Museum in Changzhou. The meteorite museum was jointly established by the China Meteorite Collectors Association, Jiangsu Qingqi Ya Yuan Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Hengshan Museum, aiming to create a platform for meteorite enthusiasts that integrates collection, display, communication, and research. 457 exhibits were showcased for the first time.

On the same day, the Jiangsu Province Meteorite Collectors Association was established here. The exhibition of paintings and calligraphy by Mr. Wang Guozhen, a contemporary Chinese poet, calligrapher, and musician, was opened.

On January 6, 2016, the 2015 annual meeting of the Changzhou Museum Society was held at the Hengshan Museum in Changzhou. Zhou Xiaodong, the deputy director of the Changzhou Culture, Radio, Television and Press Bureau, and 26 members of the council and the secretariat attended the meeting.
President Chen Lihua summarized the society's work in 2015 and proposed specific work plans for 2016. 19 member units including Changzhou Museum, Changzhou Hengshan Museum, and Ge Xiaoxing Foreign Tobacco Museum made exchange speeches. The meeting also reviewed and voted on the application for admission of Yanghu Baoyuan Museum in Wujin District, Changzhou.

On December 28, 2009, the Luoyang Cultural Relics Exhibition was held in our museum. Teachers such as Cai Guosheng were present to appreciate the exhibits of the Luoyang Cultural Relics Exhibition.
